Get a glimpse of the artist, the Slumflower
Chiddy, also known as The Slumflower, is a blogger, stylist and artist rooted from Nigeria and currently blooming in Peckham, South-East London. Her name was inspired from Street Etiquette’s ‘Slumflower’ project which concentrated on the concept of a rose growing from the concrete, which is fitting.
As unique and influential as Chiddy’s style is, her unconventional illustrations are equally impressive. I fell upon her work and was instantly pulled into another realm. Her compositions are fluid, consisting of symmetry or sometime, none at all. Like Chiddy, her art is multidimensional; while she exposes the layers of herself through her work, she causes you to feel and possibly unveil layers of your own. View some of her recent works below.
