Many of us are still grieving over the loss of Poussey Washington, a life that was ended too soon, but the Orange is the New Black actress, Samira Wiley, will soon heat up Hulu. The streaming service recently announced that the swift-rising actress will star in The Handmaid’s Tale, an adaptation of the classic dystopian novel written by Margaret Atwood.

Created by Bruce miller, the 10-episode series is set to take place in Gilead, an oppressive regime where women are forced into suppression and “handmaids” are obligatorily assigned to take on the role to repopulate the totalitarian society. Wiley will join the cast as Moira, the best friend and fellow handmaiden of Offred, played by “Mad Men” actress Elisabeth Moss.

Production for the upcoming series will begin this fall in Toronto and The Handmaid’s Tale is scheduled to premiere on Hulu in 2017.
